Hector's Bistro

Service was super friendly. Menu had great selection for everything. Food came out super hot, crispy, everything filled with generous proportions of ingredients. Kitchen made everything perfectly, food was 10/10 will be coming back.

I knew this was a must have after being a patron, at monkey bar for so many years couldn’t wait to come out and support hector at his new bistro. At first glance, everything is completely remodeled and branding is on point. You really get a vibe that you are no longer in South Amboy and somewhere in a fun hip spot in Manhattan. The service was fantastic. My favorite part I must admit has to be the colorful and well design menus with lots of great pictures and excellent descriptions, dare to say that the food look better than the pictures? Everything was amazing and the service was friendly as always, and very accommodating. I typically don’t leave five stars across the board, but I must say Hector is really doing it right. I can’t wait to see what else he has in store and he gave me an inside scoop that he’ll be introducing specials just like he did at Monkey bar. I honestly can’t wait for the lobster to come back especially the amazing Seafood that he just knock your socks off. Conveniently located on US Highway nine northbound it is a super easy and out process. I will definitely be calling in take out orders and picking up on my way home from work. You want to enjoy food that someone put there heart and soul into. This is the spot for you. Hector and Nick have a passion for food that gets passed on to you with love. Everything on the menu from wings to sandwiches to quesadillas are great options. This was my second time here, and tried even more stuff off the menu. Its a big menu with plenty of options. Also dont forget its BYOB.

This place is AMAZING!!! The food is sooo good everything is fresh and the authenticity of every dish is phenomenal. I love the vibes here Hector, Nick, Anita and Savannah are the best I have been here several times and will continue to come!!!

Everything about this place is absolutely phenomenal. The chefs along with Hector are brilliant in their cooking, the waitress and staff are extremely kind and welcoming, the place all in all is extremely lively and is an awesome experience. The food is extremely affordable while still maintaining an insane quality and presentation. I will definitely be coming back again and recommend it to anyone that is looking for high quality eats.

My wife and I tried this amazing food for the first time today and I’m already drooling over the meal I’ll try next time we go! We shared jalapeno poppers for app and then my wife had crispy chicken chipotle tacos and I had the steak quesadillas. Everything tasted fresh, was sooooo yummy and holy portions! Anita was super friendly and accomodating to us and everyone there. Even the the chefs Hector and Nick introduced themselves to us at one point. I love that they stay open so late and that they’re BYOB. I look forward to going back soon!

Hector’s Bistro was the very first stop on my trip to visit family, and wow, what a welcome! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions? Let’s just say I had enough leftovers to feed myself for three more days. But it’s not just about the food. Hector’s gives off that warm, “Cheers” kind of vibe where everybody feels like a regular. You walk in a customer and leave a friend. Whether you’re just passing through or a local, this place makes you feel like home. Can’t wait to come back!

Small place,but with huge heart for food! Tropical Shrimp Quasadias are delicious! My husband had a delish chicken sandwich! Highly recommend to try Hector’s food!
